Last Film You Watched

Can anyone help me with the name of a random movie that I watched and really enjoyed a few years ago, that just randomly popped into my head?

- It’s a British film (think it may have been produced by Film 4)
- Probably released between 2005-2015
- It’s about either a jail break, or a bank robbery (I can’t even remember the synopsis FFS)
- Lead character is about 50-60 years old, male, is either Irish or Scottish and is quite famous (I can picture his face but can’t remember his name either for the life of me) EDIT: the actor I was thinking of was Brendan Gleeson, but I’ve just searched his filmography and can’t see it, so perhaps it wasn’t him
- At the start of the movie he bangs his head trying to get down a tunnel / trapdoor
- The twist ending is that the rest of the events in the movie from that point on didn’t actually happen, he was just imagining it, as he lay there concussed / dying

My brain may have made some or most of the above up, but it’s bugging the life out of me what the movie was called. Cheers

This guy? The original Lecter (much more minimal and less hammy)

All Quiet on the Western Front.

Billed on Netflix yesterday.

It was everything I hoped it would be and more.

Be warned, pulls no punches at all and it’s not an easy watch. Brutal, visceral and soul destroying.

Up there with Das Boot for me, as one of the all time great foreign language films.
I watched this myself, cracking film and shows the reality of war

I remember reading the book a long time ago. Was pretty brutal. Think they did a film in 60s as well.
