Something big has changed from them offering £30 million for a % of swansea to offering £200 million for Everton within the space of a year. It'll be interesting who the members of the consortium are, especially those on "this side" of the antlantic.
WAYNE ROONEY - put your house on it. He was at the game a few weeks back. I reckon he could easily buy 10% of the club.

@The Esk Is my understanding of a scheme of arrangement correct, that 75% of shareholders excluding the offeror's votes need to vote in favour?
That being the case, would the scheme and associated hearings have to take place prior to any share transfer?

Note - this is an amendment to my earlier post assuming it would be done after initial acquisitions.

Your understandings are correct :)

The offeror would as you said in an earlier post try to get 90% approval (through prior agreement with shareholders) before acquiring the Boards shares.

If that was not possible but 75% was, then the scheme and hearing would take place prior to the share transfer.

When things finally start to happend people start freaking out and talking about exploitaion. You couldn't make it up. Evertonians might just be the hardest fans in the world to please.

Probably because there are articles on the web that have less than glowing reports about the past handling of a company by this chap that has been linked with our club.

Freaking out is some fans version of due diligence!

Saved mention of us to the last line...seems Leeds, Bolton, Villa, Wolves and West Brom have been touted.

Surely we are a much better prospect than all of the above?

Always a tad cynical with 'yanks' they are investors, basically means they can pull the trigger and flog all available assets to make a return. Maybe they will help keep all the youngsters and eventually sell on to a higher bidder.

If all they do is build us a nice stadium to take us forward, then they can and will sell for profit which is their prerogative. Time will tell.
Personally I don't have as much anger towards Kenwright, I think he will sell to the right people, for all his faults he has brought a tiny ray of sunshine to our dark days when I was a kid circa 1999ish.
