Anyways back on topic I would imagine prospective owners would need to know what they are purchasing. The fact that surveyors have looked at Goodison shouldn't really be major news, it will be part of the due diligence phrase. Be interesting all the same if we actually knew what the surveyors report was?? Be boss if they suggested 6 million new rivets needed for the next safety certificate.
Just read their report and it confirms that Goodison Park is in fact a Shed :)

Need a new stadium but can't see it happening

'Aww, gee! What a quaint little stadium. It would be a shame to do anything to take away from the history. And we understand King Henry, the BIG guy, used to hold hog roasts on the field after hunting in the nearby park'.

Anyone who was thinking of buying the club would have the ground surveyed, you do it when you buy a house, you'd do it before spending 200m, they'll have been round Finch Farm too.

If it was only a couple of days ago it means the deal is still on the table and ongoing.

Don't need to survey it, safety license ran out a couple of years ago Blue Bill from the boys pen said so on many occasion.

Think everybodys getting a little ahead of themselves, surely a surveyor is normal when a business is bought, especially considering Goodison is part of the fixtures and fittings.

Its total unrealistic for Goodison to be revamped in my very humble view.

Unrealistic, but not impossible.

It is pretty nice, I like it here. US citizen, born in philly then my family moved down to VA due to my dads work (civilian for navy). Went to college in state, now trying to prepare for grad school

I think this consortium will do a decent job if it goes through. can't see them doing a leveraged buyout. I think they'll come in, sort out a stadium or renovation, keep us competitive then sell on a few years down the road as the new TV deals+new stadium should raise the value of the club.

Virginia is a nice state. Lived in Winchester for a brief time in the eighties. The old lady is grand and I hope I will visit in a couple of years myself seeing how things have changed. I hope not to much. I regular attended from 67 to 73 during the Harry Catterick & Billy Bingham years.
Hey, I moved and live in Richmond now! Random state to have a few people representeteded.

Could you imagine if the Franchise tag was labelled on English clubs, it must be so devastating to see your team moved because the owners like the look of another City. St Louis Rams have just moved back to LA for next season, I'd be all for it if we were guaranteed to stay and that Devils spawn club across the park moved to Guernsey.

Not on my graze, says Bella the cow... (sends stiff letter of protest to her local council)
