Bloody hell just read that Moores is 70! Certainly won't be in it to build a dynasty then.
that's nothing in billionaire years though, walt disney's been cryogenically frozen for ages now, and moores would likely be able to continue running things even when he's just a brain in a jar, the technology is there now, and more importantly...these guys can afford it

I listened to an interview that stated that these guys will take a gamble on trying to make us more succesful.
Could be Gillette and Hicks, or it could be Simon and Garfunkel.
However, if we are happy with where we are at, stick with Bill.

Where did you hear this interview. I wonder what take a gamble means? I'd just be happy for us to have a new stadium and reduce the debt.

Screw a new stadium and paying off debt, buying boss players should be our main focus.

Everybody to focused on a new stadium, cos Bill has been telling us for years its what we need to go forward, its a lie, the only thing we have required to move forward is for somebody to inject a little bit a of money into the club and get the players in that the manager requires.

Sure long term, a stadium should be our aim or at least "improving" and expanding Goodison, but if only the debts are paid off, it gives us access to 5m+ year, purchasing FF would also save us another 1m+ a year, then also we wont be propping up Bills mates loan companies every year with bridging loans.

I suppose thats in an ideal world, the reality is, these fellas are unlikely to spend anymore than Bill and simply just sit on the "investment" and wait for the clubs price to increase.

It was on Talksport, I was on my work to work on Wednesday morning around 4.30am! The American correspondant was talking to Mike Graham I think his name is. @rochdaleblue
Interesting. I think we all genuinely think we are not too far away from challenging for the top 4. Butland and yarmenlenko in jan would give the squad an immediate boost and improvement, but it's also very unlikely. Addressing the issues for us to progress would I think take up to 5 years. If they are serious about us becoming challenges, I'd expect to see big changes to the commercial operations. Expect pre-season tours to the states and possible much more favourable kit and sponsership deals with American companies such as under armour or warrior. Due to the work undertaken on the Walton site I could forsee if the finances were in place a timescale of starting the stadium in the spring of 2017.

This

People that think they will transform us is living in a dream world

Let's break down the figures

Purchase of club, 200m
Clearing our debt 50m
Funding new stadium 100 to 200m
Funding player purchase to bring us to the next level 100 to 150m

Total cost
Approximately 450m to 600m
i can't possibly imagine they will be willing to fork out such vast amount of money to build a successful club. For that outlay, they will be looking to sell the club at around 800m in order to make a profit. It's a huge gamble for them and if we're unable to consistently challenge for the title, there's no way to sell this club for 800m.

Imo, they will just purchase the club, find the cheapest way to build a stadium, and use the TV money to cover the debt, player purchase and partially fund the new stadium without forking out a single cent from thier pocket apart for initial purchase.

A new stadium will cost a lot more than £200 if we want a decent one.

Its highly unlikely a single penny of their own will leave their pockets, I cant see them funding diddly.

Loans, loans, lots of loans.

Look im just an Everton fan, I have every right to think the worst, if im wrong and they start spening, great.

Also, I for 1 am quite worried that these fellas dont even seem that rich to me, I mean £500m each isnt enough to be spunking 000s into a football club.
