The thing would worry me about a Chinese, or indeed any takeover from the Far East, is they would come up with some schemes which would be total anathema to the fan base.

Like if the new owner wanted to change our shirts to yellow or green or sommat because it is his favourite colour.

Or change the name of the club in some subtle fashion.

I would deffo rather have an American taking over than the Chinese, which as has been pointed out, would come complete with some Peking government seal of approval.

So long as they add 'Champions' to our title

Him being a part of the consortium wouldn't be far fetched, he used to own quite a chunk of Man United from what i recall before selling to the Glazers

I was going to put that theory forward a few days ago, purely on the basis that Moores is involved in stud ownership in Ireland and McManus and Magnier are/were too and were linked with Liverpool a while back, IIRC.
