he'll be even worse this season. trying to get back into the England set up in time for the world cup was his motivation last time. This time, he's getting 100 k a week even if he stays in bed, so why bother? Its not like you really are gonna win a trophy or anything. Your City, after all. He'll get buy on reserves of talent, but you certainly won't see the player that we had. He's gone.

Keep telling yourself that mate...it's nothing but wishful thinking I reckon.

At Everton he wanted to play for the Club, for the fans, at your "Club", he wants to play for big shiny notes, it doesnt take CSI NY to work out that hes finished.

...or maybe it could be the opportunity to challenge for major trophies before his career is up?

Guy's, the amount of money that City have spent, of course their fans are expecting big things. Like it or not, City are going to hitting finals left, right and center, real soon. It's just a shame that they'll be leaving them with runners-up medals, whilst we walk away with the trophies.

And to think I was about to neg rep you until I read the second line

Come on...if you lot aren't deluded and have taken any notice of the footballing world for the last year you can see that our owners are willing to do whatever it takes to ensure City win trophies. No offence guys but in the next few years City are more likely to challenge for major honours than Everton are and if you can't see that then im afraid it's rose-tinted specs all the way.

That's not even a diss on your club...I acknowledge that on a pittence Moyes has assembled a brilliant side who could quite easily win the odd cup but to think City won't come close to trophies in the next few years is pretty daft and that's why I can reasonably suggest that Lescott saw the opportunity and went for it.
