If this signing does not work out he will end up back in Uruguay or in a lower league club in England. If it does it's going to be a very good bargain. You never know...time will tell in this transfer

I do think we will see McAleny leave the club now.The manager saying that he wants two more attacking players is ominous for a player like McAleny it will make it even more difficult for him to get a game.
Maybe he will be allowed out on loan for a season to a championship club, at the very least it would help him build a career for himself.

It is very difficult for supporters to know where the younger players stand in the managers estimation. I am not sure many would have predicted a debut for Pennington during the week.

Feel a bit sorry for him, as he did well in preseason. At the end of the day though, this is a fiercely competitive league and if he is not going to feature at Everton, he needs to move on.

At the reported 500k he's not much of a risk at all but I do worry about our options should Lukaku get an injury. Hopefully this lad can make enough of an impact from the bench to get a good amount of time on the pitch because he's making a massive step up.

Can't say i'm overly convinced by this signing. Not a great scoring record, already 22 years of age, not picked up by teams from countries who regularly raid the South American leagues and looks distinctly average on highlight videos (doesn't look particularly quick or tricky). Hope i'm wrong and there's nothing wrong with a throw of the dice for a nominal fee but i'll be surprised if he gets many games. Disappointing if this was one of the 2 forward players Martinez referred to

I guess the rumours of his holding an Italian passport were true. This would explain the relative quickness of his officially signing. What entertains my thoughts at the moment is wondering how many other passports he has. I'm supposing a Uruguayan one, but perhaps he has others...absolutely fascinating contemplations.
