My favorite band of all time.

MY top ten (read: favorite) Zeppelin songs in order:

1) Immigrant Song
2) Achilles Last Stand
3) That's The Way
4) Nobody's Fault But Mine
5) Four Sticks
6) The Ocean
7) Kashmir
8) How Many More Times
9) Dancing Days
10) Poor Tom

The most influential rock and roll band ever.

All great songs. but those are some standouts for me.

I love Zep and was lucky enough to see them live, twice in 72, all 5 nights at Earls Court in 75 and at Knebworth. I have 2 tattoos, the Everton crest on my left arm and the four symbols on the right one.

What was Knebworth like? Some reports say it was under subscribed, with "only" 40000 at the second gig and a pretty poor performance, and then others say both shows were sold out, with something like 250000 at the first gig, and similar at the second. Earls Court must have been amazing! Zep at their absolute pinnacle.

The whole thing is great, but I was watching this on tv and at 5:36-7:26 tears came to my eyes because it was so beautiful.

In the centre of Sydney a Police van pulled over and gave us a lift to a club we were going to, very bizarre to say the least but probably due to the females stood with their thumbs out, anyhow some couldn't fit in so we dumped them, next thing they went past in a stretch limo hanging out of the window with Magnums of Champagne, it was Led Zeps limo and their driver had just dropped them off. He'd seen them get dumped and thought I'll show their 'mates.'
The cop just said "wow, your friends have got a lift in Led Zeps car, that trumps you lot"

A taxi driver when going to the cricket insisted that we had to arrive as they would 'at home' in Pakistan, and made us all sit on the roof out of the sunroof and hang out of the windows etc, he was in his element beeping his horn and all that, I don't think he let us pay either.

I've never heard of anyof their songs

Buy a guitar. Plug it in to an amp and then just furious masturbate it till its making some horrible noise.

Then buy a cat. Strangle it* till its making some horrible noise.

Et voila you have Led Zeppelin.

*don't really strangle a cat though.

Just me who can't stand this band then?

I can't stand what they came to stand for, which is overblown 70's stadium rock BS. Never saw 'em, but from what I understand Jimmy Page was simply awful live, very sloppy but that's not first hand knowledge.

As a general rule I don't like Blues-based music, and i hate white guys trying to be bluesmen even more...having said that they do have some stuff I like.

And now completely contradicting myself willingly from my earlier statement about not liking blues music, my favorite Led Zep song (mostly because John Bonham is an absolute MONSTER on the drums on this one):
