The lids complaining about results in pre season have got a point IMO, remember moons ago in 1997 we beat Ajax in pre season, the following season we won the lea.... Oh wait...

Don't worry, let's wait until at least 5pm on 8th August before we start callin for Martinez's head :D

Like I said above when Steve Tashjian was our fitness coach/sports scientist............ Fitness levels were 100% better.Injurys last season compared to the season before were a mile apart. When he was here we finished 5th....... we let him go and we don't even break in to the top 10.

Playing twice as many games didn't have an effect at all I guess.

Thought Browning had a decent game, would have liked to have seen him paired up with Galloway though,as if something happens to Stones and Jagielka they will be our first team centre back pairing, the kid Robinson looks to have potential, other than a full 90 minutes for Oviedo there wasn't a great deal to write home about though.

tbh ...... that im not interested in man city. i couldnt give a crap about any other teams results or signings.
but i can point out what i see with my own eyes about where we lack and where we could and should strengthen.

I think the manager will see that too.

Think there is 1 place up for grabs next week.

Howard

Coleman
Stones
Jagielka
Baines

Barry
McCarthy
Cleverly

Mirallas
Lukaku
??????.

Can't see him picking Barkley in midfield.

You're dying for us to sell him aren't you ?

This is why we don't deserve nice things.
I don't want Barkley Sold - I think he will come good but I would like to see him make quicker decisions. He does seem to Freeze a bit. I can also understand him losing the ball when taking on a man not every move is going to come off - But if it doesn't come off, immediately pressure and try to win it back.

Because he's absolutely overrated and if we got big money then why would you keep him? If he was a geordie then everyone would want him gone. I'm not arsed if he's scouse. If he does the same as last season then do you still want to keep him?

And there in lays in the problem, that midfield three couldn't make a penetrative forward pass to save their lives, lots of quick sideways passing but nothing to brake open stubborn defences. Barry needs punting to the bench with a playmaker coming in and Barkley/cleverly rotating depending on the type of matches- for the majority would like to see Barkley with Cleverly playing against the bigger clubs/coming on as a regular sub to shake things up

The lads had his growth and developed stunted twice, thanks to horrendous injuries. He kicks on last season if he doesn't do his knee.

The treatment of him by our own fans at times is absolutely disgusting. Booing and fuming when he loses the ball, calling out other fans for "overrating him" so that when he plays poorly they can tell you "well we did say he's not all that"

The boy the best talent to come through the academy since Rooney. He'll be here longer than Rooney and given a chance, the lad might win us something all by his lonesome. He's 21, he's not 28 and developing into his prime. He's rough around the edges and yes he'll take some time to develop so give him a chance, support the lad, don't just toss him aside at the first chance of "Oh look he's lost the ball again, he's overrated."

Yes, purely for the reasons stated above. He's suffered two setbacks in his career and HE'S ONLY 21.

Give the lad a chance to get back to where he was FFS. Embarrassing treatment.
