The lads had his growth and developed stunted twice, thanks to horrendous injuries. He kicks on last season if he doesn't do his knee.
The treatment of him by our own fans at times is absolutely disgusting. Booing and fuming when he loses the ball, calling out other fans for "overrating him" so that when he plays poorly they can tell you "well we did say he's not all that"
The boy the best talent to come through the academy since Rooney. He'll be here longer than Rooney and given a chance, the lad might win us something all by his lonesome. He's 21, he's not 28 and developing into his prime. He's rough around the edges and yes he'll take some time to develop so give him a chance, support the lad, don't just toss him aside at the first chance of "Oh look he's lost the ball again, he's overrated."
I never said he is overrated and definitely want to see him succeed. Fully recognizing he is 21 and had a couple of bad injuries. I don't boo our players. I don't think I give unjust criticism. Hopefully that wasn't what was taken from my post. In my opinion I think those are the two legitimate criticisms of his game currently. Not that they are issues that he can't correct, just where he is this point.
The closest I think my criticism is unfair is Naismith being pants with the ball at his feet.
