Really? I think he's a wonderful talent, ahead of Barkley in his football development, yes. But he has frequent games where things don't come off and he's anonymous.

He's a baby in football terms, name me one English player at the age of twenty who had his ability and was showing it week in week out?

Walcott, Sterling, Ramsey, Wiltshire, Bale, Rooney, Owen all miles better than him at 20

Nobody's is asking for week in week out from him

One in 20 would be a start

Almost every footballer does...again, I'm talking about making the most of what you've got, not whether it comes off every match. Ross has been consistently playing at an odd mid-tempo pace (wherever he's been played) that just doesn't make use of everything he's got going for him, particularly when it's put on a plate in front of him.

to show its swings and roundabouts...
kone and naismith are for me the 2 players who have come out of this pre season with the least credit.
but browning pennington and mcaleny have earnt a great deal of respect. for me mcaleny has been the player of pre season.
ive liked his goals , his desire and his movement every time he has played.

Yes, but who will get more minutes this season, Naismith or McAleny? The answer is so obvious that it's painful.

No they weren't.

Even now people critise Walcott, sterling, Ramsey, Wiltshire on a weekly basis for not being good enough and over hyped.

Bale also had the same accusations thrown at him until 3 years ago when it all came together for him, at Barkleys age Redknapp was trying to off load him for less than £5m.

I like Kane, looks a good player but he's far from proven as a week in week out super star people want Barkley to be.

Tbh mate we just want a player that doesn't stink the gaff out, its like playing with 10 men when he's on the pitch with his lazy approach, daft turns in the middle of the park that rarely come off and his constant wayward passes to the other team

Apart from that though he's a star in the making
