I agree, but the perception soon changed which is my point. The size of the club doesn’t change just the perception of the team. But in the 80's when we were flying you were division 2 for a part of that too.

So basically a 10 year period makes you comparable to Everton,Villa etcAgain I’m not being delusional but you’re basing it on trophies but I’m asking you to put the clubs side by side forget being newly promoted & having currently more money due to an owner & you ask a player to sign not talking wages just on name value it’d likely be a toss of coin. Don’t get me wrong you’re currently a more appealing proposition now cos of the money, league standing but if you’d have asked in the 90’s early 00’s we’d have likely been more attractive than Everton
But that’s not the point I’m making. There are likely many that don’t remember us being a top 6 team. Just as growing up I didn’t know you were a top team in the mid 80’s. but you were still a big club

They are a decent sized club,as I said on par with Forest,Derby and such like, bigger than Stoke Boro Birmingham,Id say around 3rd tier in size, had a bit of success in the late 60s/early 70s and a period in the 90s but that led to dropping down the leagues, for the size of the city and catchment area around there they should be a lot biggerA couple of decent decades and you can overlook being in the lower leagues for half of their history. The likes of Stoke have been in the top division longer, in fact if you look at some of the teams who have you'll laugh. There's a table showing who somewhere, I'll have to dig it out some time.
No we also had a period in the 60’s in the 70’s whilst we didn’t win everything we should haveSo basically a 10 year period makes you comparable to Everton,Villa etc
That’s pretty much the point I’m trying to make, you put it much better than me.Leeds are a big club, not as big as us a few others, but they are big.
sometimes things just go beyond number of trophies, leeds were very glamorous at a trendy time, they drew fans from all over the place.
they are probably more famous for not winning stuff than actually lifting trophies. I know its sounds strange, but they are big for not winning stuff.
But didn’t we have some sort of draw to get Bielsa in the first place?Trying to tell a Leeds fan that they aren't a big club is like trying to tell a kopite that they aren't everybody's second favourite team.
You just can't argue with them.
Yorkshire's kopites will last one season 'back where they belong' then it's bye bye Bielsa.
I'd say to them enjoy it while you can, but I really hope they don't.
Scumbag of a club; always have been, always will be.
Guessing you’re happy that the ‘bigot four’ are finally back together: Chelsea, Liverpool, Leeds and Newcastle. Disgusting institutions and fan base.Pleased they’re back? I am!
Everton apart from manu and the rs have probably the best away support in numbers in the PL.Leeds have a bigger fan base than Everton and Villa . Their local catchment area is far bigger than ours and they also seem to have more fans scattered over the uk than both Everton and Villa . They do draw a lot of support from out of town and the Yorkshire county. There are far more Leeds fans down my way than Everton, and I’m sure villa haven’t got the numbers in Yorkshire than Leeds have down this way. Never understood why they couldn’t pull in more at home during hard times. It’s easy pulling in the crowds when you are doing well. I think their away support benefits from their spread out fan base . For how good their away support numbers are, I think Everton’s away support is just as good and would prove itself in the lower leagues for years at a time.
No we also had a period in the 60’s in the 70’s whilst we didn’t win everything we should have
But In that time we competed in
4 fa cup finals,
2 league cup finals 1,
1 cup winners cup final,
3 fairs(uefa) cup finals
1 european cup final
as well as winning the league twice coming runner up 5 times
yes I know but you didn’t win them but competing in Europe put our name out there, Everton obviously were let down by being banned in the 80’s but a team now competing like that would still be considered a big club
