definitely far off, one club city with more legends and a bigger name across Europe. we've just won the championship you walrus and goodison is about the same size as Elland road mate
Enjoy your championship win and welcome back to the top flight. People have been born and got a job since you were last here. A generation of fans do not know who you are. Let that sink in.

Who on earth is Max Gradel ?
Really good winger. Was on Leicesters books then we bought him for peanuts,Bates sold him to St Etienne just before season started for 3 million.Bournemouth signed him in prem but I think he was injured. Similar build and pace to Aaron Lennon.Plays for Ivory Coast and Toulouse.

Leeds have a bigger fan base than Everton and Villa . Their local catchment area is far bigger than ours and they also seem to have more fans scattered over the uk than both Everton and Villa . They do draw a lot of support from out of town and the Yorkshire county. There are far more Leeds fans down my way than Everton, and I’m sure villa haven’t got the numbers in Yorkshire than Leeds have down this way. Never understood why they couldn’t pull in more at home during hard times. It’s easy pulling in the crowds when you are doing well. I think their away support benefits from their spread out fan base . For how good their away support numbers are, I think Everton’s away support is just as good and would prove itself in the lower leagues for years at a time.

They have this so called massive support and yet their record attendance is only 57k, we've averaged a few thousand off that. :coffee:
Which tells you a lot . Their fan base didn’t become big until the 70s then gradually grew, but even then whilst in their pomp they only averaged 39k max . They never had the history or success prior to that for them to pull in big crowds like a few clubs did. No doubt they will say next season demand is there for a 60-70k stadium, but we’ll see.

Never seen a villa shirt up here mate.
Blues fan at my work.

Why didn't they expand back then when the demand was there then? 60/70k stadium alright lad, half of the city support Man United. lol
The demand wasn’t there back then obviously because whilst they were one of the best teams in the world, they could only average 39k when the ground held 50k+. I’m not saying it will be true, but I bet Leeds will come out with that demand is there for 60-70k. Didn’t they have over 200k applications for a ticket in one of their play off finals a few years back? That also came from the club , so not sure how true.

They'll sell out their ground next season just like we will, then we'll be building a new ground just shy of 53k which most will tell you on here isn't enough. They have one decent stand and no competition from any neighbours, they should be getting them massive crowds now. This city would with only one team.

Can’t imagine why anyone in Liverpool would support Villa . Funnily enough there are 2 scousers on one of our forums that support villa .
A friend used to work down in brum and we got to know blues and villa fans, who looked after us on away trips there, and vice versa.
In fact a brummie used to follow Everton iirc.
