Oh yes. Leeds fans suddenly big news again. Gang of booze up blokes in Leeds shirts pummeled one guy in the ale house. Reason?? Solitary bloke wearing a Manure shirt. Of course that hostility has been there for generations but scattering families out for late Sunday afternoon bevy not civil.

Probably rarely go to games and will be the ones saying we can’t get tickets our support is unbelievable. Bet they weren’t anywhere near Elland Road pre Monk/Bielsa. Hopefully they get their heads caved in one day.

I've lived in Hull since 1987 and in those days there would be countless coaches in Hull centre taking Leeds fans to Elland Road or away games. Over the years they all disappeared but now, even in the space of 48 hours Hull fans have deserted their club and are busy setting up fledgling Leeds travel clubs.
Unbelievable.

That’s shocking . So basically follow Leeds when they are doing well, but support Hull when the chips are down at Elland road . Can’t get my head round that .

These will be like Geordies "BEST FANS IN THE WERRRRLLLLLD", yet memories don't last long there... Elland Road used to look like this alot over the last 16 years.

I think you’ve got to put context in that, I don’t Think Goodson would be packed to the rafters after 16 years of turmoil. Ken Bates GFH & Cellino running the club in the ground selling player after player appointing non league PE teachers as managers sacking them after a couple of weeks, basically shutting the whole academy while charging £40 a ticket. There’s loads more than that as well.

I see the argument well they’ve spent more time out of the top division than in it & I see the point but I think what makes us a big club is the fact that if something happens to us it’s news. We get relegated the country enjoys it. We get promoted the majority of the country hates. If we weren’t a big name we’d be like the dull vanilla clubs that no one cares about.

in my opinion I’ve always seen Leeds on the same level in size as leeds along with a few others

when i was growing up in the 90’s Everton were perennial relegation contenders & leeds were challenging for europe but you still knew Everton were a big club with a good support.

so you’d have top 3 sized clubs

man united, Liverpool, Arsenal then

Everton, Leeds, villa, Newcastle, spurs, Man City, Chelsea

Leeds are nowhere near the size of Everton or Villa,Derby ,Forest and WBA are similar in size

Same as Newcastle for me mate.

One City, one team. No offence at all, but as a team it should be better.

24 teams have spent more time in the top flight than you... 24.
7 trophies in your history makes you the 15th most successful team in the country.

Just Don’t get the hype. Not calling us a big team, but saying Leeds are “back where they belong” is laughable.

In what way aren’t they

I know that might sound daft to a few as we’ve been away for so long but in my opinion I don’t think the size of the club alters if you are relegated you’re still a big club you just don’t have a good team. You might say ah well we’ve got more money but again that’s just you having more money nothing else. To me I always judged it on do do the have a good sized stadium goodison & Elland road are similar, do they have good support, good away support, history of winning things Along the way. then they’re a big club

Non taken happily debate. But if I was to say when I was growing up watching you survive on the last day against Wimbledon & Coventry was it when Walter smith (might have been Kendall) was in charge. Even struggling right until moyes took over while leeds had won the title finished the Finished top 5 On 5/6 occasions won the league reached the uefa cup semis champ league semi & a league cup final. You did win the FA cup final in that time though that Everton were nothing compared to us would have been stupid on my part. As just cos your team wasn’t good didn’t mean the club wasn’t big

Both them clubs have more trophies, more history more support,Leeds are nowhere near their size,to think so just shows the levels of delusion you lot have

And yet there's lads born in the late 90's who don't remember you being in the top division and we've been a constant.

Again I’m not being delusional but you’re basing it on trophies but I’m asking you to put the clubs side by side forget being newly promoted & having currently more money due to an owner & you ask a player to sign not talking wages just on name value it’d likely be a toss of coin. Don’t get me wrong you’re currently a more appealing proposition now cos of the money, league standing but if you’d have asked in the 90’s early 00’s we’d have likely been more attractive than Everton

But in the 80's when we were flying you were division 2 for a part of that too.

But that’s not the point I’m making. There are likely many that don’t remember us being a top 6 team. Just as growing up I didn’t know you were a top team in the mid 80’s. but you were still a big club
