I can't stand them, next year will be poll after poll of whose the biggest, retweet Leeds, Like for Everton. They've spent half of their history in the lower divisions, they belong there just as much as the Premier League. Horrible fans too and they have one good stand at Elland Road.

Yeah if we go through any sticky spot you'll no doubt get jarg betting site twitter pages like "BET STAR" tweeting something like that - maybe throw in the deluded Geordies for good measure.

@catcherintherye saw a Leeds blog that said rumours are if the Qatari's dont buy the club they may sponser them via Qatar airways for £28 million a season

Thoughts? Would such a bold move allow Usmanov to do similiar?

Can't see it happening like but would be interesting.

Exactly this. I went Elland Road circa 1970 to watch City.
It is the only football ground I have genuinely feared for my safety
(and I went to a lot of away games in the 70's)
I was actually glad we got beat 1-0 as I walked down the same hill
after coming out of the ground. A truly scary place.
I accidentally walked into the peacock the year we drew 0-0 and Thomas Mhyre was in goal. No idea when that was. Anyway I'd walked about two steps in when someone threw a pint glass at me. Then got a load of abuse from police at the turnstiles. Also most of the idiots I met when I used to go England away were from Leeds. Can't stand them

They'll instantly be referred to as a massive club, and we'll be told that at every turn, and yet us, a constant in top tier football, are questioned and compared to the likes of Southampton and West Ham year in year out. We've spent more time in top tier football than they've been in existence.

One of the best games I've seen at Goodison was the 4-4 in 99, they were top, going for 11 wins in a row.

Brother was a Leeds fan and have a few mates who are, glad they're up, far worse out there.

Was boss, more familiar that Paul Gerrard let some weird Kewell Lob in, at is far post. Davey Weir slotted in the 95th minute!

Best away i did was the Rooney 1-0 in 2002. Amazing day that.

These will be like Geordies "BEST FANS IN THE WERRRRLLLLLD", yet memories don't last long there... Elland Road used to look like this alot over the last 16 years.
