70s - Latchford
80s - Reid
90s - Kanchelskis
00s - Judas Arteta
10s - Lukaku
20s - Richarlison
Good choices Dave, but to me the 00's would have to be Cahill as I would not have that Judas Atreta anywhere near the list. All opinions I know, but he is up there with that horrible git barmby. My equivalent of your everlasting love for Big Dunc if you like.

1960s Alex Young
1970s Mick Lyons
1980s Graeme Sharp
1990s Neville Southall
2000s Mikel Arteta
2010s Seamus Coleman

You can definitely argue for Labone - not so much Ball because it was just 1966 to end 1971 so not half of one decade and almost none of the next.

If you wanted to break it down to 5 year periods
1960-65 Young
1965-70 Ball
1970-75 Lyons
1979-80 Latchford
1980-85 Southall or Sharp
1985-90 Southall or Sharp or Reid (or even Sheedy)
1990-95 Southall or Beardsley
1995-2000 Watson
2000-05 Campbell
2005-10 Arteta
2010-15 Baines
2015-20 Coleman

20 Onwards, Cahill Fellani and the younger fans who have watched us home and away without much hope.

No, not for me. He's a legend, but not THE legend of that 80s team. Reid was the heartbeat.
No doubting Reid's influence but it's fair to say we won the league in 1987 without him being 'key' really, as he missed most of it and only just did enough to get a medal.
