Leighton Baines & Marouane Fellaini Thread

Quick catch up lads

Chico's mar has just offered free reach around's for existing gold card members for every time Everton sign a player

How many better left backs at Everton have you seen mate? Plus he's a local lad. How easy would it be to replace the most creative force and best free kick and penalty taker in our team?

Come on, let's swerve the letz play football manager and think on.

"We can only hope" -- the last few words of my post. We don't know what will happen in time with any signing, they could go either way -- a 21 year old Bruno Martins Indi (who I've no clue about) is apparently a top left back with age on his side. Whose to say he isn't the best left back in history for us ?

James McCarthy could be the next fulcrum of our team -- I haven't got a clue.

Either way, if players are being sold we need Martinez to bring in young replacements who are potentially better performers.

He hasn't filled me with joy so far -- now rejecting a bid for Anichebe just makes me wonder even more.

So what kind of reception is Felli going to get when he comes back with Utd? Apart from a few quotes in the Belgian press about wanting CL football, he hasn't really publicly agitated for a move, hasn't threatened to strike and has pretty much continued to give 100%. So I think he deserves a rousing reception.

Moyes on the other hand might need a police escort

Im not that daft mate. I get that it doesn't matter what team/league they come from. You don't seen to get that they're not good enough for us.

I just don't see how you could know

I'm not even saying McCarthy isn't good enough to play for us, I just don't think we should spend over the odds

I honestly believe that if a player is good in one league, he can be good in another.

Leigh Griffiths would be a huge gamble. Kevin Doyle would also be a gamble. Could Dyle form up to what it once was? Would Griffiths be as good in a league with tougher defence?

These are risks you take but ultimately they are ones we have to consider because we can probably get these players without paying an arm and a leg. Even from selling Fellaini it looks like we're going to spend most of it on McCarthy. If we want a striker, it's going to have to be on the cheap.

Wolves would bite our arm off if we came in with something for Doyle right now. They can't keep paying his wages. We could get him at a decent price if we play some hardball. He'll probably agitate a move. It's a risk, of course it is, but with most of our money going elsehwere we don't really have time to quibble

You can never know mate. Not 100%.

But I think of Gary Naysmith. Or McFadz. And look at the Scottish national team. Hardly inspiring stuff is it?

I've seen GMS (glad we can call him that) and I've seen Griffiths. And they are average at best. Would get found out in the prem.

Look at Spurs' signings. They all look awesome, but looked decidedly average against an experience Arsenal yesterday.

Won't begrudge Felli leaving, it's a big pay rise and a chance to win things for him, why would he not want to go? Just wish he could've played to his potential more regularly instead of once in every four games or so

Good I hope you'll be patient then if we sign random players you don't like. We can only give them time and see.

You are getting awfully excited about this Bruno player and supposed Anichebe bid considering there's nothing concrete about them. Do you love the drama mate? Quickly formed controversial opinions?

Purslow just been on SSN "Man Utd going to find it very difficult to do a deal with Kenwright due to what as happened over the last month or so.
