Leighton Baines - next Everton manager (but one)?

I can't see a single thing that Ferguson offers, bar passion, which isn't enough.
Not being smart but how could you know what he offers?

We really don't know how tactically aware or astute he is.

We know he is a motivator, we saw with the Kean incident that he isn't afraid of making difficult calls.

But I don't know how anybody can say what he does or doesn't offer.

Love Baines, was truly World Class for a while.
I'm completely of the opinion that he stands every chance of becoming a decent manager based on nothing but instinct.

….if we’re picking a future manager from playing ranks, I’m going for Matty Pennington ahead of Leighton Baines.

Huge intellect, model professional. Many top managers were very ordinary footballers. A few years behind Baines but I’ll suggest he might be one to watch when his playing days are over.

Intelligent and skillful player, one wonders whether Bainesy's future might be more akin to Pat Nevin who seemed a similar character in his day.

Playing blood and guts footy all season would acheive nothing in the long run.
But we really don't know if that is the way it would be with him over a prolonged period.

We don't know how he would approach each game.

Not for one second would I compare Duncan to Simoene or Conte but they also seem to kick every ball in every game.

He's a much more credible blue to be making manager than Ferguson; Baines is serious and articulate, whereas Ferguson is all spluttering OTT passion and he lacks polish. Baines has demographics on his side too: he's a hero and role model to a younger generation of blues to the one who hero worshipped Ferguson. The new generations who probably make up the majority of Evertonians now in their 20s and 30s have dads who worshipped Ferguson; they respect his standing at the club but they dont identify with him as much as they would Baines.

What makes u say this?

Also, I will say this. Ferguson has infinitely more charisma than Baines has or will ever have.
