Because his father played a Jedi in the Star Wars prequels, although he didn't have any dialogue, just kinda dossed abar in the background....Thanks. Why the nickname?
Ha Ha. Dean Windas a legend. Thanks, you've just made my point for me.
Ask any hull city fan. Club legend. Dean Windass. Stop being fascisious in order to squirm from being schooled on principles which totally highlight the fundimental flaws in your sweeping (and inaccurate) statements.
It depends what you call a legend. “Modern day legends” as they say you’d go Baines, Cahill, Ferguson maybe.
But compare them to Southall, Kendall, Ratcliffe, Sheedy, West etc. who’ve won multiple league titles and other trophies it’s a no contest.
I’m not knocking every player who’s played for us since 1995. But I think the word legend is overused these days, certainly by the the media. One TV programme had “Everton legend Phil Neville” on the other week.
Wowzer
Dear me. There's been worse Brazilian teams at the last WC for one.
Dont be so churlish. He masterminded a win over the Samba Boys - a favourite for the WC.
...then why didn't he do exactly that?

Baines isn't a legend, come on now.
Good player for us in the main. I like my legends to be rare though. If Baines is one then so are loads who have played for us.
