2019/20 Leighton Baines.

The way Baines sacked Martinez was masterfully done - just a few words, nothing heated or off-colour - I just don’t feel as though the chemistry is quite there with the team on the pitch at the moment, and it hasn’t been for a while.

Shows someone who understands communication, power relationships in football, and how (and when) to use the media. Just skewered Roberto, who had no come back with his estate agent patter.
Baines basically handed him his p45 personally, when others were dithering over a looming crisis - huge service to our football club.

Martinez never had a chance after being mercilessly bullied by Baines, who, according to some, is one of the biggest wimps to pull on the shirt in the last 30 years.

Shame on you Leighton, picking on such a weak individual !

Apparently when Baines lowered his testicles into Bobby's mouth he was in a phenomenal moment of bullying though.

Which is nice.

As his successors have learned, the Everton Dressing Room Anarcho Syndicalist Group were prepared to undermine any manager.

Possibly because he stayed with us, there were approaches for him but he remained through think and thin........LEGEND

It’s something that needs to be acknowledged and admired. Jags to, it really upsets me when people disregard these lads and just want them binned in the winter of their careers.

Terrific servants, no problem here, loyalty = loyalty.

Everything in context, I would have kept him a mascot, rather then made him a super mascot. lol

Waggy is one that upsets me, bring a blue home.

True and who knows if the time continuum had slipped even slightly we might not have got one of the mankind's greatest photographs.

If aliens came down I'd be quite happy to show them this as first contact.

If they find it hilarious then we know they're a good bunch of lads.

That’s exactly the job I want, geting lockers with a panda, wearing an Alton Towers poncho.

“What time is lunch Bill”!

Could hardly move for pandas in the boys pen back in the day. I often laugh with Jenny about the time Colin Harvey kicked the ball right into a panda's face. I told him he wouldn't have to worry about black eyes and we laughed and gazed together with love across the turf. Special atmosphere, special club.

Always strikes me a weird that we see to over do it with a few legends and then there are others like Waggy who seem just so cut adrift from the club.

It’s like Bills fantasy football team.

My mate's Dad used to have a box and was good mates with Waggy so i used to be with him quite a lot at the match.

Top fella, funny as hell.

I'm not sure what happened with him at Everton but he's always seemed very set on doing his own thing and he always did a lot of scouting for clubs and wasn't just going to take the first academy role Everton offered.

I'm glad he's doing well and walking his own path but you're right he belongs at Everton.

He's still at Newcastle, isn't he?
