Baines is taking a lot of responsibility as an attacking outlet as its glaringly obvious the team don't trust/want Martina bombing up the wing.
When Coleman is back it will give us different options, and the opponent won't be happy to stand off the right full back like the currently are now...

Regardless of whether he is finished or not, there were two things that happened this summer that absolutely baffled me...
1) The failure to buy a striker with at least 6 months notice
2) The decision to go with only one left back in the whole squad, a left back who, whilst at his peak may have been the best left back to ever pull on an Everton shirt, is 33 in December and cannot possibly play every game this season at a high level

We all know he needs replacing soon, there are very few attacking fullbacks playing well over the age of 32.
We tried to sign Kolasinic then didn't even get linked with another left back. Bad squad building again.
