He had a poor game. My main gripe is certain posters have nothing good to say about him even when he clearly does have a good game or at least contributes positively, they jump on mistakes which will always blow things out of proportion.

Today we were lucky Ki finished poorly when he had a great chance. The reason he got that clear chance was mostly down to Barkley standing watching him instead of tracking him. Of course there was no comments jumping all over Ross for this in the way it happens for Osman.

I personally think it says a lot about your character if this takes a lot of your focus when you are watching your team, especially in such a great season for the club. Fuming foolishness.

Might want to read the match thread back, I mentioned that.

And I don't needlessly pick on Osman. I said he looked useful before the injury against Arsenal, but he was absolutely atrocious today. Not a "poor game", as that undersells it - he was Phil Neville bad.

poor tracking and bottling tackles are two very diffrent things, that was poor from ross, when osman is capable of doing the things ross can, then he might get the same leeway, as it is he has stunk the place out this season apart from the newcastle game and a couple of decent sub appearences, people get frustrated with players quicker when they are making the same mistakes consistently

Polar opposite of his performance against Newcastle. Done as a starter in this Everton team. Like Pienaar, he slows us down immensely.

Not talking about you Tubington.

He had a vey

We will have to disagree about just how poor he was today. He stunk the place out with a couple of performances this season, but I didnt see today as bad as some are saying poor as it was

There's a usually a reason for that, and it's nothing personal.

But it is a bit personal if youre not bothered giving some praise and refraining from putting him down when he actually does play well. I personally dont think that should be the attitude to any of our players, unless they are a bit Johhny Heitinga and dont seem to be bothered playinh for us.

It's personal to you, but really most just want Everton to improve, to win things. All obstacles to that will attract criticism...see Neville, Hibbert etc.

You compare him to Ross but theres a good example, he is a better and more consistently successful passer than Ross. Its the reason him and Pienaar get in all the time when they both seem a bit past it.

Just to reiterate, I wish we had a better first team option and backup so we didnt have to use Ossy and Pienaar but I undertstand why he is selected out of the squad options we have.

I dont like the scapegoat type of supporting to be honest, and its annoying to still see when times are so good right now.

Osman isn't capable of doing the job he is there to do, link the play, when he got the ball in the center he just went back to the center halves no matter how much space he had, builds his passing stats up nicely i'm sure, pienaar will actually still play around corners and link with the full back. weve got 2 center mids who do that job with the defenders already, having a third hinders us, hence how much smoother and fluent things looked when ross played against arsenal, and the skipper bottling a tackle like that, i'm sorry but he deserves every bit of stick that comes his way tonight, if that had been gerry who did that you would never hear the end of it, jonny did one that wasn't even as bad as that and it never left him with our fans

Osman today didnt do the link role he was there for...very true, but he has done it in many other games.

Dont recall the non-tackle you mention. Gonna download the game later and watch again tomorrow, will watch for that. Bet McCarthy wouldnt approve!

I'm not surprised you missed it, as he didn't throw it! Dangerous position, edge of our box, utter shat out of the tackle like the lightweight clown he is.

And he done it again at the other end of the pitch too. Five or six utterly woeful individual moments of cack today. Did nothing right at all.

I thought after previous cock ups Osman was not supposed to be anywhere near our pen area.lol

I would keep him till his contract runs out. We need a bigger squad next season and he should be alright when we face some average teams at home.
