Other than the City game he was dreadful, to have the most dribbled past CM in the league in your team if you are chasing top 4 is unacceptable, you'd hope that was the intention in 'bidding' for Leroy fer. Many of us wanted Barkley over Osman when his form dried up, with Felli restored to CM, the Arsenal game and this season has proved that would have been a viable option, hence the frustration directed at Osman. I have no problem making a contribution as back up while his contract winds down, but if he plays like he is and he's first choice, then I don't think people can complain if he gets criticised
You seem to be ignoring the fact he has been and still is being played out of posistion. He is not a natural CM or deeper CM for the reasons you state. So IMO its a bit unfair to receive massive critiszm whilst playing out of posistion. This season going forward is a bit different because we have better options than him in all 3 midfield posistions, having said that he will still be IMO a great squad player. As good as Barkley is there may well be times when he needs a breather or taking out the limelight briefly.

Its a fair point, but its a performance based industry, that's what he gets judged on, if he's as good as he fans tell those of us who doubt him, he should be nowhere near as appalling as he is, same as Bily on the wing, Jonny in CM, or Neville just being on the pitch. He's picked to do a job there, and from my point of view he isn't doing it, so he's open to critism when it comes to improving the team
I am not so sure we have two new midfielders and an extra one when Gibson is fit!I think you will find that Osman will be played most weeks by Martinez as he was by Moyes.
He will still get slated on for a such as this .
It simply reflects that professiona players and managers see things differently and are looking for different things than fans.
I think Osman will eventually end up playing the kind of role that Moloney played for Wigan.
He was perfectly fine playing there from August to December last season. This 'out of position' argument you keep plugging is not working.
That would be the club then and it seems that his last two managers' (and the England manager's) opinion of him is very high.People who pay his wages are entitled to have an opinion on him.

couldnt believe moyes did not make a move for ossie , he needs center midfield players ,and he did pick him everyweek and turn him into a full england international, cant figure it out me , bafflingThat would be the club then and it seems that his last two managers' (and the England manager's) opinion of him is very high.
As someone else said the professional view is very different to the view of a handful of fans.
