He failed his medical today and the club don't want to risk paying such a large amount even if it's in instalments. They are trying to renegotiate for a loan deal, to take a look at how -whatever his problem is-holds up over the next few months of the season before spending big cash, no guarantee Twente will let that happen mind. That's what's happened.

If that's true, I have to say it's not very promising. Seems like Twente need money from a sale to fund replacements. Don't see why they'd agree to a loan.

EDIT: Wouldn't it have been announced if he'd failed the medical?
