our useless club are asking for twente to be accountable for the players future after selling him, we have the right to a full medical, after that we either want him or dont, Twente have no reason to accept our ridiculous demands, its amateur hour with these clowns again

Don't be stupid.

We agreed a fee based on there being no issues being brought up in the medical, issues came up which show he's at risk of injury down the line. Why on earth should we pay the same we agreed to before this came to light ?

@GregOK
Type of surgery Fer had to repair his knee meniscus led #EFC medics to have valid cocnerns he could break down again with long-term probs

Meniscus problems. Always a 50-50 chance of it going wrong. You can't really give 10mil to that, now can you?

Unless you're 'Arry and have enough money to spend.

Currently the breaking news on sky sports is our deal for fer is off and liverpool complete the signing of coutinho. thats just great.

Arsed about that lad, he is meant to massively disappointing, Phil Vickery just then on talksort saying he never understood the reputation this lad got himself, he couldn't get in the worse inter teams for years either **** him and **** them, i'm glad they have him where is raheem 'messi' sterling gonna play now. No

The question of Ba's success is interesting. Obviously the vast majority of players with knee problems never fully recover to their top form, it's a career killer injury if ever there is one. Ba seems to be bucking that trend. Over in America Adrian Peterson almost broke an NFL record this season, the season after getting his ACL reconstructed.

So it seems like they're getting better at this knee stuff now, and maybe we did miss out on an opportunity. However, it does stand to reason that if a certain fee was agreed before we knew about the knee, surely that fee should be lowered after we find out about it. Maybe we missed an opportunity here, but the people citing one instance of a player turning it around (Ba) need to get a grip as well.

Ever since about 2008, the surgery when it comes to repairing ligaments has gotten WAY better. The injury isnt a career killer anymore. The problem is reinjury while still in the recovery process. It takes about 16 months to completely heal up and get to full fitness again. sometimes it takes longer, sometimes its shorter(see Adrian Peterson).

It's deffo off lads, just got the notification on my phone from the Everton app.

Well done Everton, all that horseing around for nothing.

This is an absolute facking disgrace. I can’t believe that we are still doing fake bids in 2013, I thought that had come to an end a few years ago. I don’t think there is a lot wrong with this guy’s knee at all, and this is just Everton messing about again.

I’m starting to wonder how genuine the ‘bid’ for Ofoe was now. “We worked on the deal right up until 11:59 and submitted the paperwork at 12:00, but UEFA decided that we were four seconds late with the paperwork†– yeah right.

It wouldn’t surprise me if we never had enough money to buy Fer at the agreed rate, and I bet you any ‘replacement’ comes at a fraction of Fer’s agreed fee. In fact, we will probably offer a club the exact same deal that we are offering Twente right now, and we won't see any bids coming anywhere near 8.5 million pound in total.

Yet more transfer disappointed with this shambolic club.

The way we conduct business is utterly rediculous.

After this I'm would expect the likes of Fellaini to demand to move on in the summer. You just don't want to be associated with this club who don't know their arse from their elbow.

I'm sure the lad would have flown over in a private jet to have a medical if it was a fake bid wouldn't he ? FFS.

Give your head a wobble.

Putting appearance clauses in for players who have a medical history is common. Nothing wrong with what the club have done. We can't afford to pay £8.6m guranteed for someone who may brake down.
