Everton buy Ironbunam for £9m giving Villa £9m PSR profit for 2023/24.
Villa buy Dobbin for £9m giving Everton £9m PSR profit for 2023/24.
Both Villa and Everton happy, screw PSR rules.

It's strange how quiet that's gone considering it's a fairly pressing issue. It might be complicated but it can't be THAT hard to get in the right experts and resolve it- even if it couldn't be resolved before the end of the season it surely should've been resolved before the end of the FY.Off topic, but wondered could we look to get that struck off, given the rule states the offence has to be dealt with the the same season.
He also notes himself that his numbers assume we win the interest argument, which is hopefully not an assumption the club themselves are making.

I wonder if there is the tiniest chance common sense may have prevailed and the PL have concluded that challenging audited accounts is an over-reach, and they've allowed it to quietly go away (perhaps linked to us not appealing the rest of the decision)? But then common sense has rarely played a part in the past.To be fair, for the Prem to win the interest argument it would require them to successfully challenge the position of one of the top 10 audit firms in the country. There's a couple of reasons why they could genuinely win that argument and the approach from the club could be bogus, but it would be a huge development/claim, far stronger than the claims brought against us already resulting in deductions.
My point being it's not quite as unreasonable for the club to assume they'll win that argument as it was unreasonable for them to assume they'd win the original PSR breaches. I think we'll end up selling DCL anyway pre-July and it won't be a big issue for this year, but the historic adjustments could create a problem re: more deductions.

That will only start from date of signing, so would be a tiny amount for 8-10 days of amortisation in 2023/24. Then £2.5m for each of the next 4 years.Minus the amount of amortisation per year of around £2 million I presume.
Master's "They can't be doing this, they should be selling Braithwaite to United for £35 million, its not fair, how dare they disrespect my friend Sir Jimmy".Minus the amount of amortisation per year of around £2 million I presume.

Genuine question: why aren’t we buying/selling for £30m?The reasoning is:

It would increase the price for any other player we were be looking to buy if were to buy an inexperienced player for £30mGenuine question: why aren’t we buying/selling for £30m?
Because we would then have a commitment of 6m a year based upon n a 5 year deal which would impact our ability to comply with PSR in future yearsGenuine question: why aren’t we buying/selling for £30m?

It would then confirm this is a fix, neither player is worth 30 mill, price has to be seen to be reasonable.Because we would then have a commitment of 6m a year based upon n a 5 year deal which would impact our ability to comply with PSR in future years
