Just back from seeing 'Air Cooled' at a local pub - psych rock with an electronic tinge.
Drummer was in Elastica (he was dead good), very hot girl on bass who played with the Weddoes, and a synth twiddler who collaborated with FSOL and 4 Hero.

Its out there people.

Got Paramore and Foals tomorrow night. Haven't seen either band before.

Really wanted to go to that one myself. My wife likes Foals better but wasn't really interested in going, plus kids, etc. Saw Paramore on the Bonnaroo livestream and that will have to do.

I am going to Tears For Fears in a couple weeks. Somehow missed them in Dallas last year so I'm driving down to Austin for that one. Thank God they're playing indoors!

Not really seen too many but from what I can recall

Black crowes
queensryche
Motley crue
Metallica
AC/DC
Rihanna
Paolo nutini
Jason derulo

Probably some I’ve forgotten, and that includes taking my then 14 year old daughter to watch stuff … weird how she was into the black crowes at that age 😂

Here's every band I can remember seeing. Keep in mind that my wife and I are proper American hipsters, which heavily informs this list:

Steely Dan (x4) - the last one was the first show they put on after Walter Becker died. I felt like I had to go. But Donald Fagen's voice is absolutely cooked so I can't go again.

They Might Be Giants (x2)

Doves - really regret my behaviour at this
one. My girlfriend at the time took me, my mind was on something I was going to the next day, I wasn't up to speed with their music, and I was a big wet blanket. Now of course I have all their albums, so I lost the battle and the war.

Ben Folds (x4)
Stevie Wonder
Paul McCartney
Paul Simon
Elvis Costello (x2)
Snow Patrol (absolutely rocked the place, great show)
The Shins (x2)
Ben Folds Five

Have a soft spot for REO as my mom listened to "High Infiedelity" on cassette as we drove on car trips when I was 10-11yrs old. Fast forward to me at 18 and I came to realize they were from Champaign/Urbana (long gone by the time I got there), where I was accepted as a young kid into the freshman class of (graduating in) '88.

So much good stuff there. Love Sleater-Kinney and have been a fan since the Dig me In/Out days. Never saw them though. My only claim to fame was that my friends got married in Olympia and we went to a bar where they frequent and sure enough they were sitting around a table, chatting amongst themselves, not being bothered (as that was the unspoken custom) and this was like 2001 or so prior to Portlandia and other fame.

REO is good. REO with Chicago playing their hits is so much better, even sans Catera. That one was one killer encore.

Too many to list...biggest miss was Cocteau Twins reunion at Coachella '05. Not my fault though, they cancelled.

Ok with it. Looking back, I would've rather seen them as indoor headliners and, in a fit of rage, I went to the ManU match at Goodison as a replacement 30th B'Day present. Cost me 10X more but, still (1-0, Ferguson header; G. Neville and Scholes sent off)

Greatest show - Pink Floyd (Division Bell tour)
Best Energy - Pantera (Vulgar Display of Power tour)

Betting that one was filthy. Can get behind the Division Bell idea, too, even though I didn't see it.
