Live music - what have you seen?

I was talking about this in the pub tonight, it’s was amazing the amount of groups and festivals people have attended. Personally I have never seen anyone nor been to a festival. Obviously I put this down to the fact I’d been working my plums off while the rest of you were enjoying life, but even though I only live a few miles from Download and it’s previous incarnation of Monsters of Rock yet have never attended, I feel as though I’ve missed out. So kids on here, have a life and enjoy it while you can…don’t be a workaholic like me…..
Miserable bàstard you lad

What's stopping you now? Even if you can't make a full weekend a lot do day tickets. Go forth and check it out just to say you have, you might then think you haven't really missed out at all.

Unfortunately I spend my days looking after my wife. It’s probably this that makes me think about things I’ve missed. First it was Kids and earning money and now well it is what it is…..

Never too late until its over pal. I said last week during Glasto that live music stirs the very soul, keeps a man young and enjoying what life has to offer.

Embrace it while you still can. My parents are both heading towards 80 and still go to gigs. Keeps them young. Keeps them happy

I’d love to, but tbh it’s now passed me by. I can still watch on the TV……

Genuinely isn't yenno.
It's still out there, it won't come and get you, you need to get out there and find it. It'll be closer than you think. Doesn't have to be no big name band, absolute tonnes of small festivals going on all over the country this time of year. Bet there's one nearby. Local ones are a great family day out too.

Do it.

Before it really is too late x

Obviously up to you but @tommye is right you wouldn't even be nearly the oldest there. If you have a want to do it ask a few mates if they ever fancied going, arrange some cover and go out and treat it like an all day expensive beer festival with known bands. Be home in time for bed. Something to tick off the list and hopefully have a bit of deserved fun to break up the monotony.

True, but it would feel a bit selfish tbh. Anyway if I wanted to do it I’d rather my wife was with me. Maybe we’ll give it a go and see, we can always leave if needed….
Honestly, great day out for all the family at a local festival. So much more goes on that isn't music. Arts, crafts, food, and so much more.
Genuinely a great time to be had by anyone of any age.

I have Muse in September in Dublin and Nothing But Thieves in November in Belfast.

Saw Eels in March. Excellent as always.
I really like Muse but this morning, for the first time, I went on to buy tickets, looked at the price and decided against. And I'm reckless with money and spend a lot on these events.

That says a LOT about how high the costs have gone. £110 for standing at an arena!!
