Or a viable midfield????

Think the midfield is viable but could do with more power and guile at times. Can see why we had that kind of transfer targets in the last two windows and why it has hurt us in certain games. Not disagreeing with you but I we're probably one good player away from a cracking midfield but we haven't got a forward that frightens the opposition.

Hmmmm........ that wouldn't ahve anythignto do with the fact that they are good teams and spend about a billion times more than us would it?
No because the law of averages is what makes the likes of Wigan, Blackburn, Norwich, Bolton and Villa go to these places with inferior teams and occaisionally get results there. It's the inferiority comlex we have that stops us winning one single game at these grounds.

Do you think it's just accident that we're up for it against City? They royally pissed Moyes off and I'd bet it shows in the pre-match talks.

I don't think it's too much to ask Gibson to occasionally make a forward pass to a team mate. At the moment he plays it sideways or back, and that's not enough. It's the first step in yet another hoof. I expect more from a DM than simply to play as an advanced third CB and his contribution needs to increase after he has his surgery.

Good grief, has someone on here actually taken St. Darren to task for something? Wonders will never cease!

I agree with you mate

If that's the case, then fair do's.

He should start every game that he is fit to play in from this point onwards though, in my opinion

Moyes treats the lad with no respect. Any other manager would have given him a start against Sunderland after the Arsenal game. Our squad is thread bare, any player who can help should be utilised

Well you're right.

But the lad was still ill today, so it seems odd to attack him about it now.

Gibson is a good player but I would rather we invest in a good CDM alongside Felli and have Gibbo and Osman good choices from the bench. Sissoko from Newcastle would be brilliant or even Diame with his £3-4 mil release clause just make sure Moyes you get the cash of that **** in the boardroom

Thats utter rubbish. So when the likes of Wigan, Bolton and Norwich etc have been to these places and won, they have better teams? Sorry, that's just apologist rhetoric for Moyes' negativity in these games.

These teams have been there and done a backs to the wall 1-0 lucky win. There always freak results, its not like they go there with a magic mindset that enables them to play them off the park and get a result...

The top 4 team usually understimtes them, turn up thinking its a banker and the gaffer has usually rested star men. The top teams have always took us very seriously. They never rest players, they don't be complacent thinking there in for a easy game.

it seems to be a reoccurring theme with our midfielders, much like how we only get one good season out of a striker. after a certain length of time all our central midfielders turn into crabs, passing back or sideways. Either due to lack of movement, options or tactics.

Check the chalkboards before you post mate. The vast majority of his passes are 'forward'. Agree though that he missed his team mates too much today, but just about all his misplaced passes were attempts at being progressive.

How many home defeats have Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal had in the champions league during the last 11 years?

i know it was such a minute chance of getting Europe even if we won all the remaining games, but after this **** show of a game, this HAS to end everything, right? 5 pts in front of liverpool with 2 left, 5 points behind spurs who have 3 games left.

**** it, bring in the youngsters, give the primadonnas who earn more in a week than most of us in a year a break because they couldnt keep up with the demanding 90minutes of work a week.
