If it's an earlier kick off on the Saturday, that means it won't be shown live on tv, as BT are showing Arsenal vs Spurs at 12:45pm. There is no way Sky can swap their game with BT, it is set in stone that BT has the 12:45 slot on a Saturday.
So Everton will lose £800,000 in tv revenue if this game is not shown on Sky.
If the game is moved to an earlier kick off on the Sunday, it will need to be switched with either Burnley vs WBA (12 noon kick off on Sky) or Newcastle vs Stoke (2:05pm kick off on Sky).
If the game is moved to the Sunday, poor old Liverpool will have to play Sunday-Tuesday (they play Spurs 2 days later on Feb 9), so Liverpool likely won't be very happy and may object.
Normally this game would be dead easy to switch, but because of the above, there are lots of difficulties. Which would lead one to think it may not be switched. I guess we will find out soon enough. If this winds up being an early kick off on the Saturday and thus not on tv, that will be a disgraceful decision and Everton should sue the police for loss of revenue.
