What on earth was Jagielka thinking playin that soft pass to Alacarez when Suarez is coming towards you?! He should've played it the way he was facing!

We move on.
Super painful result but the season doesn't end after you get found out in one game.
I don't give a toss about our injuries- Everton have always had a small squad and always suffered from injuries- that doesn't derail our season.
We adapt- starting Saturday vs Villa- and we win.
And then we do the same for the next game and the one after- we're not out of it just yet.
Loved hearing Allez allez allez ooh last night and Oviedo Baby over the TV, while 4-0 down, at that otherwise silent Anfield- for the players on the pitch, its not their faults that the squad depth is as shallow as it is- the best thing we can do for them is show them support and cheer them on to victory on Saturday.

Stop moaning lads. Its a defeat. That's all. Let the gobshytes have their gloat and forget it.

They played on the break against an injury hit team and got lucky with their goals. So what?

Everton? 4 points off 4th and well in it and going to win the FA CUP that's what we are.

Come On You Blues and stop with the self pity.

Agree mate apart from this bit. They didn't get lucky.

Disappointing result but we're Everton and we'll be back

They weren't lucky, they were set up perfectly to play against us and tactically we got it all wrong, injuries played their part but we would have struggled with their attacks even if we were fully fit yesterday. Don't fool yourself into thinking we were unlucky, Liverpool let us have the ball with every intention of hitting us on the counter and their attack is absolutely good enough to punish you for mistakes.

We're a lot better than what we showed yesterday though, based on our season so far it was a freak result which happen from time to time and hopefully the players and manager can move on quickly from it and pick up some wins. We're going to need plenty of players to step up their game though, a few are clearly going through a bad patch even outside of last nights game.

I'll NEVER give those victim-status loving bastards credit for a win in this fixture. It's just not impressive enough to give them credit for. They are financially operating on a different level - a MASSIVE disaparity in resources to us and the difference SHOULD ALWAYS PREVAIL. The fact that it doesnt on many/most occasions and we get a draw or the odd win is incredible when you think about it. Best 11 v best 11 at the beginning of the season we stand half a chance...as the months roll by and squad becomes all important: not much of a chance.

Rodgers remains the promenading fraud he was before that game, he was given a leg up there last night facing a squad crippled with injury and patched up trying to play their usual game rather than cowering away with 11 behind the ball (maybe we should have, but at least we'll never be ****houses under Martinez, and I for one am satisfied with at least that much). His great 'tactical victory was nothing more than that.

I am going to laugh my cock off when they get ousted from that last CL place at the season's end. Believe me, they will feel even worse than we do now in May...I'm counting the days until that happens.

Never thought I would say this but tactically Rogers was spot on. Knew Bobby would come and attack them and would expect Liverpool to do the same, but instead sat back and played on the counter against an injury hit/ inexperienced back line (and Baines who never seems to have good derby's anyway). Badly missed Distins pace at the back.

Like everyone I'm disappointed at the result but more importantly the lack of passion from the players on the pitch last night. But on the more positive side it's better to lose 1 game 4 - 0 than 4 games 1 - 0. I know it still doesn't take away the pain. But now bring on Saturday and let them players prove to us they are hurting as well and shows us this with a classy win.

Finishing above them again will go some way towards making up for this humiliation. It's up to the lads now to get the results from the rest of the games and make up those points.

It's not like they had a fully fit squad either though. Their back line and midfield were also missing key players. The real difference was their tactics were more suited to the match and the players played with more intensity.

You make it sound like we're taking a knife to a gunfight.
