This revisionism over Liverpool: they'll get turned over by West Brom or someone soon, we know it.

They took out a literally understrength and out of sorts Everton team last night.

They are not in the same league as the three above them. And United are going to come with a charge that'll have them reaching for their brown kecks.

Do you not tire of looking stupid?

ive watched it again with a clearer head and tbh i dont think we were too bad and i dont think they were too good.
where they were good was at closing down and getting the ball forward . other than that i thought our football was better than theres overall .
where we failed and it cost us.....
1. first goal - barry lost his man and then took out lukaku
2. barry made a sloppy pass and stones was positionally poor
3 the killer 3rd goal and worst of the lot imo. alcaraz let sturridge go , jags wasnt aware quick enough.both were to blame. a school boy error and a very simple long ball taking out our whole team.
4. 4th goal jags poor pass

we were demoralised but still played on even though we never really looked like scoring.
stones i can forgive ...he is young and in hindsight perhaps shouldnt have even been playing at rb ahead of hibbert.
barry alcaraz and jags need to take a long hard look at there performance . In those brief moments of sloppy play they cost us 4th , dented our pride and let there team mates ,clubs history and fans down.

Masochism

United only in relation to Liverpool; Liverpool always. Of course I care what they do. I want them off the pace and out of the way.

More concerned about our failings and how we can improve instead of putting our hopes on the likes of West Brom to do us favours.

That wasn't my point. I'm saying (in relation to the elevation of Liverpool by one poster) that they are just as easily going to drop points to a West Brom as kick on like a good team and cement themselves a CL spot.

Our failings are there for all to see: we dont have enough quality in depth for a savvy manager to use.

Liverpool have £80mish of attacking talent in the rat, sturridge and coutihio.

Its not rocket science. Money talks.

A different style philosophy etc can only get you so far, I like Martinez but if we continue to be mismanaged off the pitch there's only so much he can do.

How many teams could have the injurys we´ve got\had and still cope without being weaker?

Same goes for us to be fair.

That, plus poor tactics and supposedly fit players not putting in a shift.

How much did Liverpool spend in total getting those 3 players in. I'm talking transfer fees only, not wages?

In reply to people saying we have no leadership on the pitch, you are right and I have been saying the same thing for weeks myself. Jagielka is quiet and miserable and also has no ambition. I say get somebody like Barton in, yes I'm serious when I say that. And no I'm not drunk.

oh my days....

You would drop Barry or McCarthy for Joey Barton because hes a gobsh!te? Or as you call it "Captain material"?

Jags is a more than able captain and...

this is the clincher...

hes a quality footballer.

Unlike Mr Barton.
