+1.

We have no chance and can only hope for no daft red cards (inevitable) or injuries (also inevitable).

It's Everton mate so expect

*heavy defeat
*2 red cards
*1 injury confirmed pre match
*2 more injuries during the match

There isn't a scenario where not being arsed comes into it. Everything that could go wrong usually does and it'll arse us all even more lol

Am I the only one who's really not arsed? It's a foregone conclusion.

Personally I'm more interested in the Burnley game today.
I don't want us to be embarrassed that is all. Sadly that means losing by 4 or 5 seems within bounds today, but if the result earlier goes in our favour then whatever happens later it's been a good day.

Sadly too true mate haha

As I said, best we can hope is no ridiculous shenanigans. Or at least if it's a red - it's a snapping ffs

Norwich and West Ham gave them a game at Anfield. There’s absolutely no need for all this ‘it might be double figures’ fear.

Just keep the mistakes to a minimum, concentrate on a set pieces, and make them show how good they really are by playing through us in open play. If they still slice us open then fair enough but just don’t gift it to them.

No joke, we should start Keane as centre forward. Might offer offer aerial threat at corners.

Funny story, I used to play for a Sunday League team and we had this ever present centre back who would just picked every game so I was lumped out to right back. I used to call the defensive line out to clear the box at corners and he'd always be the last one out and put everyone back onside. Worse still was that if we tried to push the line up he would always deeper so, naturally, if the other defenders dropped in to straighten the line he wold drop back further.

We had this bright idea to put him up front as he was a big 6ft 6 lump, I got to play centre back, we conceded a lot less and he got a few headed goals from corners. Makes me think of Michael Keane that way too ?
Haha he would be as deadly as rondon to be fair!

Be happy to defend deep for 90 minutes and try to limit them to shooting from range. Lots of Dark Arts, long balls, time wasting, going down injured.

Hopefully Mina, Delph and Allan and Doucoure start, we need to be aggressive and force them to lose discipline...pressure in a sense is on for them, a point is useless.

The longer we keep it 0-0 the better, if they score early it's game over.

We gave none of the teams you mentioned a game though? lol

Plus it's us - if we don't crap the bed against the RS it would be uncharacteristic. And yes, that means the result from last year was that - very uncharacteristic of us.

Actually a very good point if we were able to do that.

As much as it's a 'must win' for us , it's doubly true for them.

Just hope we come out of this one without injuries or suspensions.

You just know it's going to happen: 30 seconds left on the clock, the RS knocking the ball about to "ole's" with a 3-0 win secured, then Richarlison --being throughly piddled off by it all-- has a rush of blood, makes a stupid challenge, gets a straight red card, misses the next 3 matches costing us big time. ?

Might put a fiver on it.
