...in recent times perhaps but 80 years is a long time and we've not always been 2nd best, indeed for some of those years they were in the old first division.

Quite possibly. In recent memory I don't recall many obvious pens we've missed out on there though.

Loads at Goodison like.

I've only been to one Anfield derby...and we won 2-0!

And whilst the joy of that day, some 30 or so years ago, still holds immutable currency, the doom of subsequent 30 or so years of mostly 'bottling it', and failure at Mordor, threaten its debasement.

I harbour little hope toward our redressing 'Everton that' this weekend...

No worries lads 4-0 Rom hat trick.

Or 0-0 and 94th minute someone shots hits both posts(this time) and falls to a 10 yard offside Mane who scores.

..I remember Pat Nevin getting taken out at the knee (by Burrows I think) in the box at Anfield Rd end. Hand on heart, it was the most stonewall penalty you will ever see. I looked immediately at the perfectly positioned ref and could hardly believe it when he waved Play on. That referee was Keith Hackett who is the Referee Supremo. I'm sure others have similar memories.

Remember that mate,
I got a ticket in the home section of the Anfield Road Stand. Would you recommend not celebrating an Everton goal? Would the stewards ask me to leave in the worst case?
don't wear any decent gear, mate, unless you like being covered in snot and such like.

Mori out for the season - we probably wont sell him in the summer now :(

Positivity with the BM announcement - followed by Lukaku, McCarthy, Coleman now Mori..... followed by 2 heavy defeats this week.

Everton FC.
