Can't help but think we've stumbled upon a solid back 4 without Digne. Given his strengths lie in his attacking ability, is it worth trying him ahead of Godfrey on the left wing? Would give us Godfrey's defensive stengths & Digne's attacking.

I'm sure Carlo's got his own opinion...just a thought.

Digne is too good an offensive presence to be kept out of the side. Godfrey should get a trial in the middle of midfield or on the right as I likewise think he is too good to be dropped. Not sure he is ready to be a center half yet

There are very few players in our squad that retain their places without question and Digne is one. I love Godfrey and how he’s come on these last few weeks but Digne is such a key piece to our attacking unit he has to take his spot back if fit. No coincidence that DCL is out of the goals when Digne isn’t playing. It will be interesting to see Godfrey cover Allan in midfield if needed though - athletic and strong in the middle of the pitch

A midfield of Godfrey and doucoure is an absolute brick wall
 

Its pure fifa logic but im a full on fifa virgin so bear with me but until we get that 3rd midfielder to go with Allan and Doucs, with the back 4 of 4 center backs working so well could Digne move the left mid role. I think it would allow him to get forward more with the absolute unit of Godfrey at the back.

That is what I’d hope. Nobody knows whether Godfrey is prepared to play in the center of midfield, but he definitely looks like the best man on man defender in the side. It wouldn’t hurt to try him there with Digne returning.
