I'm sick and tired of the lies and misinformation being spread about this lad now. We're supposed to believe that he just doesn't want to play for the club anymore despite happily signing a contract extention less then a year ago. It doesn't take a genius to work out what the problem is here, there's only been one significant change to the club during the time since he signed his extention and now and its the manager in the dugout. The same manager that has a proven track record for telling lies about players he's fallen out with and being as spiteful as possible about how he gets rid of them. Digne will go on to have a very good career elsewhere after he leaves us, the club he signs for will pick up a bargain, the manager will have his rotten ego placated and his little moral victory, the only loser here is Everton Football Club.

I was shocked to hear Goodison at it's loudest when Digne warmed up.
I'm more shocked to see fans still defending him. I don't know why I'm shocked, I've seen our fans side with players who want out/don't care about the club too many times.

The sooner our fans stop treating them like gods and stop letting them get away with murder, the better. I won't hold my breath though.
Correct...and reaching for the comfort blanket of "Give it to Dunc" any time a manager hits a poor run.

The fanbase have accepted mediocrity for so long it's second nature to many of them to get shut and settle for the next set of inadequates.

A line needs to be drawn.

I'm standing with Benitez as he attempts to clean house.

Amazing how people can twist history to bolster their agenda .

“[He was in the squad for Brighton] because as a manager you have a responsibility to try to do what is best for the Club and sometimes you pay for that.”

Maybe I am not reading this correctly, but I'm a bit confused what an unused substitute had to do with the loss to Brighton. If only he had warmed up better we maybe would have won.

Can you not see he did what's best for the club by playing a back 5 and Coleman left back.

No, he obvioulsy trained all week then got a an illness the second before asked to play at Chelsea.

Defending a player who refused to put an Everton shirt on and play for the club.

A new low.
Behave you clown, you know as much as I do which is all speculation, He fell out with your benny boy and has been left to rot. If he had refused to play he wouldn’t have sat on the bench against Brighton, he would’ve refused.
