I've said for 18/24 months now, we'd get tonked 4-0 and Digne's agent/himself would be plugging that he made more passes than any other player etc. One example;

It isn't that which makes him 'unprofessional'.. it's him then throwing his rattle out of the pram and effectively saying 'well I want out then' that paints him in a bad light here.
Digne has stunk the place out for the last year under Carlo and Rafael. Fans on here always moaning about players being mercenaries etc. Finally, we get a manager who calls them out for what they are and the manager ends up getting appalling abuse for it. Absolutely embarrassing behavior from some of our fanbase.

Fans have been sabre rattling ever since Moshiri came in Feb 2016 thinking we were the new Man City and have pushed the owner into sacking managers every 12-18 months.

I agree with you here Dave.
What is happening is a culture change. Players no longer coming here looking for an easy pay day. Instead, like the rest of us, they have to follow directions and work hard in order to get paid. Drop the dead weight and bring in young, hungry players trying to establish themselves.

I was shocked to hear Goodison at it's loudest when Digne warmed up.
I'm more shocked to see fans still defending him. I don't know why I'm shocked, I've seen our fans side with players who want out/don't care about the club too many times.
The sooner our fans stop treating them like gods and stop letting them get away with murder, the better. I won't hold my breath though.

No matter who the manager is.
To be fair to Benitez, he's moaned a lot about wanting players who want to be here.

If Moshiri's head is screwed on he'll take the pain this season, with Benitez having to dig out this lot, and allow him to get his own players in and go again next season.
