So he's right then...and the anti-Benitez lot are faking their anger.

Correct.

It’s not fake anger though is it? They’re angry that he is our manager, he is disliked in our fanbase. It was an absolute pipe dream to ever believe that our fans were going to back him in any situation. The appointment was nothing other than a monumental disaster.

I wonder if his transfer request was before we signed a new LB or afterward and also whether it was the reason why Benitez dropped him in the first place.

The people backing Digne are the same people who want Ferguson as manager.

Utterly clueless and zero principles....and, btw, the first to be bleating about no trophies for 27 years and dont make the connection with that and their support for crap players and crap coaching staff.
The more I read your posts, the more I lean towards thinking that you really are a teenage kid stomping his feet when someone goes against his opinion and says the first contrarian things that comes to his mind.

@ForeverBlue92 and @Saint Domingo: seem to have at least some thought process behind their posts, you however.....

Well, as I mentioned previously, might be wrong and you could be a nobel laureate of peace stomping his feet and spouting off contrarian stuff.

For the records, I back Digne, and I do not want any Fergusson to be the manager of Everton because he is Fergusson, I would love to have a manager who would get the team working in the right direction. If that happens to be Fergusson, then so be it...

I said when Rafael came here that we would see some surprising fallouts.

The reason for that is before Rafael came we had a poor poor culture at the club with half bothered players who mastered the art of picking up a wage and looking professional,

Digne is clearly at odds with Rafael, based on what we have seen under 4 or 5 previous managers - are we saying its Rafael who is the problem here??? I dont think he is.

Sometimes you need a character like Rafael to earth out the problems in the club. I dont get the adoration for Digne, he's been awful for a while now.

Digne has been awful for a while yes. But people were always going to side with him over Benitez, and it’s the manager who’s the one basically drawing lines in the sand and forcing people to pick sides. The confrontational approach might have worked in the past but it’s never going to work at a club where you’re already absolutely despised by the fans, all he’s doing is heaping more and more pressure on himself.

If we lose tomorrow then he should be sacked imo, and I can only see that game going one way now. The wind is blowing firmly towards an embarrassing 3rd round cup exit on national telly.

Exactly. This is a massive turnaround job to stop 7 years of decline, and decades of a losing mentality, yet as soon as the first eggs are broken people are up in arms!

This club needed smashing up. Brands, Donnachie, Digne, I’m glad Benitez is making enemies because if he’s just joined and he was another one of the lads then we’d be carrying on with exactly the same rubbish we’ve had for years.

I would say he dropped him not just because of his attitude but how bad he was playing, fans can blame tactics all they like but once on the pitch its on Lucas if he cant track a player or put a tackle in without giving away a free kick.
