Do you think you can bamboozle other managers by not addressing the elephant in the drawing room and 'keeping it in house'?

They know why Digne is leaving: under his own steam because he wants CL football...and they'll accept that he's pulled a few stunts to get a release early from his contract.

It's naive beyond belief to think that everyone in the game doesn't know where the motivation for this potential move has come from, and it wont effect price.

I cant wait until he leaves. He's not going to be missed - he's stunk the place out for ages, and we get a good kid with potential plus more cash to spend elsewhere.

Good riddance to bad rubbish I say.

That's all he has said publicly.

I do believe Benitez in saying that Digne has asked to leave. But I imagine that is literally the extent of it. It's Benitez who chose to get riled about it and lose his head, banging on about Peter Reid.

Agreed I mean it’s one thing to say in private ‘I want to leave’ - that may go on far more than you imagine actually.

Handing in a transfer request would be a proper ‘signal’ of no return for me

I don't think it is these days. Most full backs are better going forward then defensively these days due to how teams set up.

So he's good enough for them and plays his normal attacking game ( which we have all adored ) but not good enough here ?
