2021/22 Lucas Digne

I don't really care that we have to sell a player and Digne ultimately is the most sellable asset at the club that won't, right now, damage how we play under this manager.

It's more that it's completely baffling how and why it's come about and that Everton, and some fans are happy with this happening, are letting this manager make these decisions.
It really annoys me how some fans have actually believed the poison that fat nobhead has spewed. A player who has literally never acted up and they turned on him like that because a bitter, old kopite fed them lies.

Not at all. He's 28, not 30-31, signed a long-term deal this time last year, is easily in the top 5 LBs in the Premier League, probably top 10-15 in Europe in his position quite easily. He's not world class, no, but there aren't many left-backs who are.

I'd imagine Everton would value him around the £30m mark in an ideal world. But we don't live in an ideal world.
As I said: 'plucked out of the air'.

I think he worth £5M. See how that game works?

£25M for a defender who cant defend.

Thank you very much Eddie Munster. Now he's your problem. Enjoy.

Class statement from Digne. Last half of it, is as scathing as good bye messages go. Just confirms what 99% of the fan base knew already, Rafael is a little rat and is destroying this club.
This time it was Digne, next time, if he is allowed to continue, it could easily ne DCL or Richi. Get this fraud of a manager out of this club

Pretty devastating, that.

What a dreadful mistake Benitez was.

It feels like Everton is crumbling like a dry old cake at the moment.
If only there was some way of knowing that the manager was washed up and totally unsuitable for the job before he was employed…

I hate what he’s turning my club into, and as I’ve said elsewhere, I’m finding it very difficult to support us. Despicable appointment.

If he thinks it, the rest of lads will.
They will either throw him under bus with another poor performance or just want to leave.
Digne proper influence. Classy guy. Good player.

Cuts deep tbh.
I'd actually gain a huge amount of respect for this gang of cowards and bottlers if they actually took a stand against Benitez, I'm not someone who advocates for inmates ruling the asylum but it has happened before at other clubs. Too many yes men at this club from the board room to the playing staff. How can any of these senior players look at this as professionals and think it's alright, have a bit of pride in yourselves for god sake.

Do they not have the mental strength to say this manager has forced out our 2 most creative players, our close friends and fan favourites all the while playing awful football that none of us like or is suited to our strengths and losing at that. Look I don't care quite frankly how much money they earn or anything like that but if this crap went on at my workplace and my colleagues I'd attempt to make a stand, as would anyone else. I think there's probably 5 or 6 good lads that care even if they aren't good enough sometimes like Coleman, Pickford, Doucoure etc. but there are also more that are happy to sit on the bench collecting their money because they know this is the best they'll ever get and even if it means not standing up for yourself they'll do that, looking at the likes of Iwobi, Rondon and Keane.

Like I said in the first post this club has become incredibly unlikeable and the fact that we've gotten rid of one of the most likeable players is just a massive blow honestly. Loads of people have said it already but how do they honestly expect us to care about this football club?
