I'd actually gain a huge amount of respect for this gang of cowards and bottlers if they actually took a stand against Benitez, I'm not someone who advocates for inmates ruling the asylum but it has happened before at other clubs. Too many yes men at this club from the board room to the playing staff. How can any of these senior players look at this as professionals and think it's alright, have a bit of pride in yourselves for god sake.
Do they not have the mental strength to say this manager has forced out our 2 most creative players, our close friends and fan favourites all the while playing awful football that none of us like or is suited to our strengths and losing at that. Look I don't care quite frankly how much money they earn or anything like that but if this crap went on at my workplace and my colleagues I'd attempt to make a stand, as would anyone else. I think there's probably 5 or 6 good lads that care even if they aren't good enough sometimes like Coleman, Pickford, Doucoure etc. but there are also more that are happy to sit on the bench collecting their money because they know this is the best they'll ever get and even if it means not standing up for yourself they'll do that, looking at the likes of Iwobi, Rondon and Keane.
Like I said in the first post this club has become incredibly unlikeable and the fact that we've gotten rid of one of the most likeable players is just a massive blow honestly. Loads of people have said it already but how do they honestly expect us to care about this football club?
