2021/22 Lucas Digne

Benitez is the wrong manager to try and debate tactics/your role with and sadly Digne has realised that now

Hopefully they can meet in the middle somewhere and he can get back into the team. It's probably going to have to be Digne who extends the olive branch though because that just isn't Benitez's style

Dictators do not give ground willingly
Bit like when Anthony Gordon made the mistake of asking Ancelotti for more game time!

We need 2 fullbacks not one. We can only judge players on their regular performance. Digne does not impress. The manager decides what is required and the players follow suit if they are able to, or else. Not that any of us have a clue what if anything has occurred, except that Digne has been poor.

I get the feeling Digne is a confidence player, who is a bit mentally fragile. I don't question his effort though, which makes me think there's a way back for him.

This is the point I think. The best full backs don't tackle much. They harry, they forced the wide player back inside, they block crosses or intercept. The only time a full back tackles is when the wide player has gone past them.
Yeah, but also it indicates the full-back in question is being left one-v-one a lot, which suggests they are not getting enough protection.

I'm glad a player questioned a managed who'd overseen our worst run of games in 22 years or whatever it was.

The amount of speculative drivel here is absolutely awesome. You guys are either incredibly intelligent and in-the-know, incredibly bored or just incredibly simple. Im yet to be decided but am enjoying this sh*t-show immensely.

Carry on!

How do the athletic know? How would the subscription based news outlet conveniently known the ins of a drama story..
Because he was very obviously their source for a story earlier in this week, which included a quote about 'the established hierarchy' being ditched for deadball situations. Seeing as He Who Shall Not Be Named and Digne were the specialists for free kicks and corners, which are now being taken by Townsend, Gordon and Gray, it doesn't take much working out.

He's only worth around 30 mil mate.
I wouldn't believe everything that the Sun prints!

Since we bought him for £25 million he has established himself not only as our number 1 but also England's. It could be assumed that this carries a premium.

Personally speaking, I don't think that you should be selling him at this point, unless a better option is available as stopping people scoring is quite important.

Sorry, 16 years
Go for it mate. 'They' had poor old James' wages increasing at a rate of tens of thousands by the hour as Benitez went to work on him, so why not do the same!

I personally cannot believe that at this point in my life I am having to watch Rafael Benitez guide Everton to our worst run of games since England won the world cup! Absolutely disgusted by it I am!
