Lukaku to Spurs

chelsea would be utterly insane to give them both players for costa.

those two could become the best keeper and best striker in the world within 7/8 years

£17m up front, £5m in installments is what i reckon we'd pay and what they'd accept. Even then they'd be making a profit on the lad due to the 2 loan fees they have received plus the transfer. With him only play 10 games for Chelsea theres absolutely no chance Anderlecht have received the add ons.

Yes. I think if a deal was done there would be a sell on clause.

I thought Chelsea had supposedly told Courteois that they were looking at giving him the no 1 spot next season instead of Cech?

Of the 3 inspired loan signings, RL would be the most important to us. I have no idea of how realistic it is that we can pull this off, but we need to. Should we go into next season without these lads, we will be a lesser squad for it, Europe regardless.

If we don't sign him -- though I pray we do -- it's not going to be as difficult to replace him as we think, providing we do have money.

Hear me out.

Romelu is immense but if he was 29 no one would be arsed. His potential has not benefited us this season, and though he's been a a very good player for us this year, there is no way in hell we can't replace 13-15 goals a season and a physical presence with Bobby at the helm and a bit of dosh.

What sets Lukaku apart is that he does this at the age of 20, and in 3-4 years will no doubt be one of the best strikers in the world, in my opinion. But that's in the future. Whatever happens with him, I have faith we'll still be ace next year.

Agreed, he's not irreplaceable by any stretch. His touch doesn't quite seem to be there, and I worry if it isn't there now then it'll never be.

Granted I'd still love him here, but for a rumoured £20m we could get better value elsewhere.
