Lukaku to Spurs

Lukaku wasnt brilliant we all agree.

However

1.Won a Pen
2.Created 2 chances for Naismith which he should have scored
3.Ruined Jones over, and over again

He needs to sign for us, he loves it! He was geeing the fans up, as was Mirallas when he was taking the corners.
Good post. I get as frustrated as anyone when his touch can be so poor but he is usually an all action guy who is a constant thorn in the opposition's side. Possibly showing signs of specialist guidance from Big Dunc? He definitely linked well with Naismith and he also makes lots of good early runs which are still not spotted by our wingers! When they spot them about three steps earlier and put the ball across before he has run too close to keeper we are going to get a lot of goals.

Yes, totally agree. His touch was very poor and almost clumsy at times. Contributions where 10/10 though, sign of a good player!

Thing is if he can't control a ball now he never will you learn that as an 8 yr old.

Not entirely sure about his temperament seems fine when everything is hunky dory but prone to aimless wandering if not.

A strong suspicion of Adebayor Mk2 for me, talent there but not always used. I can see why Jose isn't losing any sleep over him.

I don't believe the hype that surrounds him

I think there's something there but for 20m+ I am not sure

His first touch is so bad its embarrassing

His horrifying run just after Christmas really alarmed me and I haven't seen much since to justify the £20m price tag at all.

He has power, he can definitely slot, but I'm concerned about his lack of first touch, perhaps a touch less pace than a top player would need and, worryingly, his application on the pitch.

If we do get him, we should be bargaining hard on that fee for sure.

I'm in favour of giving them the first option on Barkley as well to lower the price, end of the day makes no difference to us just means if we ever do sell him then chelsea have the advantage on getting him

All going well we develop and push on as a team Barkley he stays and we lower the Lukaku price whilst giving nothing away to do so of real consequence

Agree though one one thing, Lukaku isn't a 20m player right this moment, but it's obvious he will eb soon and arguably his importance to us is worth that much

Then it's a no-go, as Chelsea won't sell for less than they bought him for.

If he sells, it'll be for around 20m.

The great myth is chelsea paid 17-18m for him though mate, they clearly didn't, thin the initial fee was more around 10m or so and theirs no way on earth he has met the targets for raising the price by 7m when he has hardly played a minute for them. Factor in they've recouped around 5m+ already on loan fees for the guy
