Lukaku to Spurs

It's what does my head in mate, people seem to think '20' goal strikers grow on trees or something, atm in the league it only looks likely that Suarez and Sturridge will get those totals this season, last season 3 had 20+ in Van Persie, Suarez and Bale, the year before that Van Persie, Rooney and Aguero had 20+.

All those have either been sold in the past for a lot more than 20m or would certainly cost 30-50m if they were sold minimum.

Players of Lukaku's age and goalscoring record in a top league are comfortably 15-20m worth of player

Especially when you consider he's missed at least 8 games of a possible 38 this season in the league. We'd have been looking at close to 20 goals from him with a full season of matches.

Aye and it's painfully obvious when watching him now and just before his injury that the workload in his first season as a starter has taken its toll on his dynamism compared to how he has looked when fresh

Almost as baffling are people saying we should go for Bony though, and throwing around 10-15m values on him, he's scored 15 league goals in his first season, is only 25 and cost Swansea 12.2m when they bought him, why on earth do people think he'd go for anything less than 20m baffles me

Yep, it's bizarre. They'd go for similar amounts, which is why I'd have Lukaku. 5 years younger too.

Think Bony would go for more mate, for exactly the reasons the people who say we should go for him state they want him for, he is a more 'rounded' player atm and at the peak age price wise for strikers

Lukaku will go on to be a far better player but will take him a few seasons to get their

Bony's scored 25 this season, Lukaku's got 14.

Plus unlike Lukaku Bony's general play is quite good. Lukaku's is dire.

and you think Swansea wouldn't realise that should teams bid on him mate? he would fetch upwards of 20-25m if they sold him not the fantasy land 12-15m most here quote, this is the same team that stuck a price tag of 30m on Michu's head after a similar season at 3 years older age and having cost them a quarter the fee of Bony

It's a no brainer for me at least, if it's a choice between the two.

It'd be a massive risk spending that kind of money on him after his 1st season. He could turn into a Papiss Cisse next year. At least Lukaku has done it for a couple of years running now.

How many strikers have come to the Premier League and had a good first season, only to be unable to repeat that form the following season? Bony looks good but it'd be a risk spending £20m on him, or whatever it'd take to get him. Lukaku is proven in this division and is currently a 15 goal a season striker and would probably cost around the same amount, yet is 5 years younger at 20. I know who I'd spend £20m on and it's Lukaku without a doubt.

Listen lad Lukaku scores some goals but he doesn't really work hard enough does he i mean this is Everton we like our players to run all over the place even if they don't score we like to know they've put a shift in !!!!! COBY EDIT
