As for Michu, what's he done this season? Ie he injured. As for Bony I've not seen much of him.

No, I know what you mean, but just saying there are other options. Not sure if Lukaku is proven yet, two good seasons at two separate clubs but we don't know if he's "doing a Yakubu" and turning on the style sporadically. Don't think that's the case but it's by no means certain.
I'd be happy if we signed Lukaku as I think something is there, but after today and his performances over the lats six months in general I don't think it's as big a loss as losing the Lukaku we saw in the first few months of the season.

Michu's struggled with injury the majority of the season mate, but he hasn't looked the same even when fit imo, Bony has played really well the past month or two, 8 goals in his last 10 games after a pretty unimpressive start 4 in his first 15 games, however 5 of his 16 goals this season have been pens I think

If signing Lukaku meant we couldn't buy at least one other good player (near starting XI) I wouldn't do it. If we had the budget he's the right signing to move us forward.

As for your questions Bryan, yes Michu has been injured for much of this season and as for Bony, he's been quite good and scored 15+ Premier League goals.

That's how I feel about the whole thing.
End of the day, any striker that can net 10+ goals in the premiership is gonna cost upwards of £10million. In Lukaku's case, you'll be slapping an extra £10mill on top of that due to age and potential.
The more I think about it, the more I think that £20million is a lot of cash for us for someone who is going to be inconsistent and may or may not reach his potential.
I'm sure Bobby has more up his sleeve and I think Lukaku will be somewhere else, probably abroad, next season.

Bony whose scored 2 goals less than Lukaku in more games if you remove the pens he's slotted?
Hernandez whose never started as a lone striker and looks totally unsuited to the role?
