Honestly yeah, I think he is. But he couldn't do it in this league, was lacking in every area. The only two areas Lukaku excelled in is pure power and finishing ability.

The idea of Tosun was right - the reality wasn't. Tosun in Italy would do fine.

Absolutely. He's just not a better goalscorer, and he wasn't good enough for this league.

There's nothing Lukaku does that suggests he's a better actual footballer than Tosun. Or as also alluded to in that post, Callum Wilson - again, a far superior footballer. As is Calvert-Lewin to an almost ridiculous degree these days - the idea of DCL is what we tried with Tosun but it didn't work; DCL progressed into that player instead. Even Bamford at Leeds is a far better footballer than Lukaku.

Well, you're using Lukaku 2021 in a farmers league to compare to Tosun in the Premier League.

Well, Tosun just scored two in his first game back in the Turkish farmers league, in 30 minutes. Which by your logic makes him automatically a better striker than Aubameyang.

As said in the initial post, it's comparing apples and oranges. There's nothing to suggest Lukaku is a better footballer than Tosun - there's plenty to suggest he's a better goalscorer, but that wasn't the question. You can be an elite level one trick pony, and that's what Lukaku is.
