In the same way Wayne Rooney's was but sure

4 League cups

Champions League
Europa League
World Club

Young player of the year
PFA player of the year
Football writers player of the year

England record goalscorer

Im sure he's gutted how its gone yeah....... having a mare mate.

wait... are you comparing Lukaku to Rooney???

They really, really don’t say his career was disappointing. You’re just making things up now. Have a lie down.
You've never heard that before? OK maybe I'm imagining that, I swear when he left United there was a whole "did Rooney reach his potential?" discussion basically because he was never the actual best player in the world.

It's not a direct comparison because Rom as good a prospect as he was wasn't Rooney, but it is the same thing, saying he's disappointing because he only scored 300 career goals.

And what have those goals brought him? A largely disappointing career. Hence the moniker flat track bully. Couldn’t do it in the big games when his team needed him unlike Rooney. Going to sit there in retirement with one league medal that matters and a PL PotM award or something. Woo.

You’re getting battered in here I’d just back out.

what you are talking about is the fact that many rightly seen Rooney as a better 17/18 year old than Messi and Ronaldo - which he was by some distance IMO.

The reason for that is the same reason that Tyson was so formidable as a 20 year old - they developed early.

Rooney became a team player vs an individual. The expectation in some was that Rooney could/should have been the best in the world.......... in no way shape or form did he underachieve.

Lukaku would be dreaming to have a career 1/10th as good as Rooneys

Again this is only a take offered by bitter Evertonians and United supporters

It certainly was. You later talked about you planning a trip over.

Try to. It might educate you about sommet you clearly have not got a scoobie about.
No that conversation was me telling Blue to the bone to stop talking down to Evertonians that aren't able to go to Goodison every week. Which amazingly is exactly what you're doing now. It's honestly every post you make. I'd do years of Benitez if it got this 20th century attitude out of the club forever. Exhausting.

I mean, I’m not bitter he left us or what he said but frankly who else do you have these discussions with outside of Everton fans? If it’s just Everton and United fans which other fans say he’s had a great career?
Yes mate the neutrals I talk to do not view Rom the same way

I have no problem with Blues not being able to get to games. I havnt been to one in 6 years. I am just trying to explain that you know zip about the inherent attitude of UK football fans. It isnt a good look tbh, but thats the way.

In the same way I know zip about the intricacies of Merican baseball/NFL/Etc fans.

And you were deffo questioning if angry Goodison was a factor. Thats fine. You have never been there, so how would you know?

Your insistence that you actually know better about my thoughts than I do explains a lot
