I was going to comment during the big argument you all had last week, but I was rushed to hospital after reading @TheBigIguana claim that a lad who struggles to control the ball is the third-best striker in the world and one of the best of his era.
He kind of objectively is though? I mean even if you want to be incredibly harsh he's like at worst at the end of the top 10 for the last 10 years.

No, he isn't.

He had a great season at Everton five years ago, mercilessly bullying the likes of Bournemouth and Sunderland, and the best season of his career in Italy, which is many levels below the Premier League.

He was a walking meme at United, and is well on his way to repeating the feat at Chelsea, because even can-crushing is difficult when you play teams that opponents defend for their lives against, and you don't have the touch or skill to operate in tight spaces.

As far as off-the-shoulder strikers go, he's better than a Defoe or Darren Bent, but behind a Vardy or Wright, and nowhere near Owen or Fowler.

Ultimately, though, if you actually sit there and feel like you're watching a world-class footballer, nothing I say is going to convince you otherwise.

Spot on mate. As Gary Neville said, he's a flat track bully.

This is just wild to me. I can't really believe this is an unbiased take, I'm sorry.

7 touches in 90 minutes...... set a new record for the most anonymous player to complete 90 minutes......... that is some going considering one of them was from kick off.

absolute charlatan of a player. Fair play to him he has made a very good career for himself from it....needs to get back to Italy or Belgian league where he can get his hand on a trophy.
