It's not about being obsessed, mate. He's not ****. He's very anxious to make an impact, which is why he's often offside. Works hard too and brings others into the game, always looks isolated when up front. Another striker alongside him is just the thing he need, IMO.

Poor excuse. He's a striker playing at the highest level who constantly finds himself offside because he doesn't have the pace to beat defenders, not because he's nervous.

He just isn't good enough, particularly not in a system which requires a decent level of footballing ability from it's striker.

We're definitely watching different players. He's often offside because he's slow and needs to anticipate.

jelavic would be good as a sub if we are desperate for a goal, not sure how he could play otherwise atm

That is not down to ability. Doesn't matter what league you play in, you'll bury that. It's confidence. Has no problem scoring in pre-season against decent opponents.

I still don't really understand what's happened to Jelavic. Defenders 'figuring him out' still doesn't explain how he's missed some of the chances he's missed, especially when you consider his finishing ability when he first arrived. It's the most severe, long-term loss of confidence I've ever seen. Really thought he'd be over it by now
